so i downloaded everything and find out OK, it's not working and my game won't load. i assumed they were making them free now because they planned to come out with a D2 Ultimate Edition and didn't want people who bought Dragon Age 2 _without_ the DLC (like me) were going to be irritated. downloaded everything, it gave me "unauthorized", i went online and logged into EA, and something happened and it seemed to work. i assume this is the DRM? not sure what to do to get the DLC to work. xml files in each addin folder, and i did that, but it only seems to let me play with the DLCs if the Dragon Age servers are down. Isn't there ANY way to play (with the DLC) offline? or should i give up on it and start a new game (not a great option)? i saw someone on one of the boards recommend editing the. now my most recent save is won't load at all. (b) something weird happened, and it loaded Mark of the Assassin, and then crapped out midway through. (a) having to be online to even play Black Emporium (one of the DLCs that _is_ now free) is aggravating, since i'm NOT always online when i want to play on my PC (yay sometimes-crappy internet) and then, after downloading, a poster told me it's _not_ actually free (or most of it), and that even though they let you download all the expansions/DLC content, the game won't run them unless you are online (to check the licenses?). I recently downloaded all the DLC for Dragon Age II off Origin site, after reading that it was now available for free for people who owned the game.
